# The best Whoop alternatives in the UAE

The main Whoop alternatives in the UAE are Samsung Galaxy Ring, Ultrahuman Ring AIR, Garmin's watches and sleep band, and Sisly. Whoop is sold as a membership with the band included. The alternatives here are bought once, with no membership needed for their core features. Choose by shape, phone, battery and three years of cost.

- Whoop is a membership with the band included; its insights depend on keeping the membership active.
- Galaxy Ring, Ultrahuman Ring AIR, Garmin and Sisly are bought once, with no membership for their core features.
- Garmin sells a screenless sleep band worn on the upper arm, and an optional paid Connect+ plan on top of its free app.
- Compare three years of cost, not the first-year price.
- Sisly is AED 999, paid once, with readings hosted in the UAE and an app in Arabic and English.
## Why do people in the UAE look for a Whoop alternative?

Whoop is a screenless band built for training, sleep and recovery. Its daily strain and recovery scores are the reason many people buy it. Most people who look for a Whoop alternative have one of four reasons.

**The membership.** Whoop is sold as a membership, and the band comes with the plan. Since May 2025, Whoop has offered three membership tiers, called One, Peak and Life. The insights in the app depend on keeping a membership active.

**The shape.** Whoop is usually worn on the wrist. Some people would rather wear a ring, or a watch with a screen.

**The phone and the language.** Some rings work only with one kind of phone. Some people want an app they can read in Arabic.

**The data.** Some people want to know where their readings are hosted before they wear a tracker every night.

This is Sisly's own blog, and Sisly is one of the options below. We have kept each entry to facts you can check on the maker's own pages.

## What does Whoop still do well?

It is worth being clear about what Whoop offers before you look elsewhere. Whoop has no screen or buttons. Its daily strain and recovery scores are built around training, and the app runs on both iPhone and Android.

If that coaching-style view of training is what you want, and the membership fits your budget, Whoop may still suit you. The alternatives below make sense when the ongoing fee, the shape or the language matters more.

## Which Whoop alternatives are on the shortlist?

The table compares the device price, what you pay after you buy, battery, screen and app languages. Prices come from our price list and carry the date they were checked.

### Sisly

Sisly is a titanium ring or band from the UAE. It costs AED 999, paid once, with no subscription. It reads sleep, energy, stress, heart rate variability, activity and skin temperature against your own normal. HRV, or heart rate variability, is the small change in time between one heartbeat and the next, and it is one of the signals recovery trackers use.

- **Who it suits:** people who want Whoop-style sleep and recovery readings in a ring or band, paid once, with an app in Arabic and English.
- **After you buy:** nothing to pay.
- **Battery:** about 7 days between charges.
- **Data:** readings are hosted in the UAE.
- **Availability:** available to pre-book.

### Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung Galaxy Ring is a titanium ring built around Samsung Health. Samsung lists sleep, heart rate, skin temperature while you sleep, activity and a daily Energy Score, which it calculates from the previous day's sleep, heart rate and activity. Samsung quotes up to 7 days of battery.

- **Who it suits:** Android users, especially on a Samsung Galaxy phone, who want a recovery-style score without a membership.
- **After you buy:** Samsung has said the current features need no subscription. Reporting from its 2024 launch notes that future Samsung Health features may come on different terms.
- **Phone:** Samsung UAE lists Galaxy phones and other Android phones on Android 11 or later. There is no iPhone support.

### Ultrahuman Ring AIR

Ultrahuman Ring AIR is a light smart ring with a focus on sleep, recovery and movement. Ultrahuman's FAQ says there are no recurring subscription fees for your data.

- **Who it suits:** people on iPhone or Android who want a ring and no membership.
- **After you buy:** no recurring fee for the core data, according to Ultrahuman.
- **Battery:** about 4 to 6 days per charge under standard use, according to Ultrahuman.
- **Phone:** iPhone on iOS 15 or later, and Android 6 or later.

### Garmin

Garmin makes sports watches with GPS and screens, and since June 2025 a screenless sleep band called the Index Sleep Monitor. The band is worn on the upper arm. Garmin says it tracks sleep stages, HRV status, skin temperature, breathing variations and Body Battery, its own energy reading, with up to 7 nights of battery. It does not need a Garmin watch.

- **Who it suits:** runners and cyclists who want a watch for training, and people who want Whoop's screenless feel for sleep without a membership.
- **After you buy:** Garmin says every existing feature in the free Garmin Connect app stays free. Connect+, launched in March 2025, is an optional paid plan that adds extra insights and charts.
- **Battery:** varies by model; see the table.

## How do you choose a Whoop alternative with no subscription?

Four questions settle most decisions. Take them in this order.

### Which shape will you wear every night?

Whoop owners are used to a device with no screen. A ring gives you the same quiet feel in a smaller shape. Garmin's sleep band keeps the strap but moves it to the upper arm, for nights only. A Garmin watch gives you a screen for training. Pick the one you will keep on at night.

### Which phone do you use?

Galaxy Ring needs an Android phone. Ultrahuman, Garmin and Whoop list apps for both iPhone and Android. Check the maker's compatibility page against your phone before you pay.

### What will it cost over three years?

Whoop's price is a yearly membership. The alternatives here are a one-time price. To compare them fairly, work out three years.

1. For Whoop, read the membership price in the table and multiply it by three.
2. For every other option, take the device price in the table.
3. Add any optional plan you know you will keep, such as Garmin Connect+.
4. Compare the totals.

With Sisly, the three-year total is AED 999, because there is nothing to pay after you buy.

### Where are your readings kept, and in which language?

Sisly readings are hosted in the UAE, and the app is in Arabic and English. For every other brand on this list, see the provider's privacy policy for where data is kept, and check the app store listing for languages.

## What can a recovery tracker tell you, and what can it not?

Recovery trackers read your heart rate, HRV and temperature overnight, then compare them with your own recent nights. That comparison is the useful part. A single score on a single morning says little on its own.

None of these devices is a medical test. A 2021 study in the journal Sleep compared seven consumer sleep trackers with polysomnography, the overnight laboratory test. It found the devices performed well at telling sleep from wake, but their sleep stage readings were inconsistent. Read the trend over weeks, and speak to your doctor about anything that worries you.

## Where can you buy a Whoop alternative in the UAE?

- **The brand's own UAE store.** Samsung sells the Galaxy Ring online in the UAE, with a free sizing kit on a ring order. Garmin's UAE store is run by an authorised distributor.
- **Large electronics retailers.** Virgin Megastore UAE lists Ultrahuman rings.
- **Online marketplaces.** Amazon.ae and noon list Whoop membership bundles and several of the alternatives. Check that the seller is the brand or an authorised reseller, so the warranty applies in the UAE.

For a ring, size first with the maker's sizing kit. Wear it through a full day and a night before you order.

## Which one suits you?

- **Choose Whoop** if you train most days, want its strain and recovery coaching, and are happy with a yearly membership.
- **Choose Samsung Galaxy Ring** if you use an Android phone and want a recovery-style score in a ring with no membership.
- **Choose Ultrahuman Ring AIR** if you want a ring with no recurring fee that works with iPhone and Android.
- **Choose Garmin** if you want a sports watch with GPS for training, or a screenless sleep band with a free app.
- **Choose Sisly** if you want a titanium ring or band, AED 999 paid once, with readings hosted in the UAE and an app in Arabic and English.

## FAQ

**Is there a Whoop alternative with no subscription?**

Yes. Samsung says the Galaxy Ring's current features need no subscription. Ultrahuman says there are no recurring fees for Ring AIR data. Garmin says every existing feature in its free Garmin Connect app stays free, with Connect+ as an optional extra. Sisly is AED 999, paid once, with no subscription.

**What happens to Whoop if I stop paying?**

Whoop is designed around its membership, and the band is included with the plan rather than sold on its own. Without an active membership, the band stops giving you new insights in the app. Read Whoop's own membership and cancellation pages for the current terms in the UAE before you sign up, because terms can change.

**Which Whoop alternative has the longest battery?**

Figures vary by model and use. Garmin quotes up to 7 nights for its Index Sleep Monitor, and its watches vary by model. Samsung quotes up to 7 days for Galaxy Ring. Ultrahuman quotes about 4 to 6 days for Ring AIR. Sisly runs about 7 days between charges. The table above shows each maker's figure.

**Can a smart ring replace Whoop for recovery?**

A ring and Whoop read similar signals, such as heart rate, heart rate variability and skin temperature, from a different place on the body. Each brand turns those into its own scores, so the numbers are not interchangeable. Pick the device you will wear every night, and read your own trend over weeks rather than comparing one brand's score with another.

**Can I buy Whoop and its alternatives in the UAE?**

Yes. Whoop membership bundles are listed on Amazon.ae and noon. Samsung sells the Galaxy Ring through its UAE store. Virgin Megastore UAE lists Ultrahuman rings, and Garmin has a UAE store run by an authorised distributor. Sisly is available to pre-book. Buy from the brand or an authorised seller so the warranty applies.

**Which Whoop alternative works with an iPhone?**

Ultrahuman lists Ring AIR as working with iPhones on iOS 15 or later. Garmin's app, Garmin Connect, is listed on Apple's App Store and Google Play, so its watches and sleep band work with both. Samsung lists Galaxy Ring for Android phones only, so it does not suit an iPhone. Check the maker's compatibility page for your exact phone model before you buy.

**Does Whoop have a screen?**

No. Whoop has no screen or buttons, and you read everything in its app on iPhone or Android. Galaxy Ring, Ultrahuman Ring AIR, Garmin's Index Sleep Monitor and Sisly have no screen either. Most Garmin watches do have one, which suits people who want to see pace and heart rate during a run.
