# Oura vs Whoop vs Sisly in the UAE: price, subscription and what you get

Oura vs Whoop comes down to a ring or a wrist band, and two ways of paying. Oura sells the ring, then a membership for most readings. Whoop sells a yearly membership with the band included. Sisly is a titanium ring or band at AED 999, paid once, with no subscription and readings hosted in the UAE.

- Oura is a ring plus an optional membership that opens most readings; Whoop is a membership that includes a screenless wrist band.
- Whoop lists 14 days or more per charge; Oura Ring 5 lists 6 to 9 days; Sisly lists about 7 days.
- Over three years, both Oura and Whoop cost more than twice Sisly's AED 999 at the UAE prices in the table.
- Whoop is built around training strain and recovery; Oura around sleep and daily readiness; Sisly around sleep, energy and stress against your own normal.
- Oura's app lists Arabic among its languages; Sisly's app is in Arabic and English; for Whoop, check the provider.
## Oura vs Whoop vs Sisly: how do they compare at a glance?

Oura, Whoop and Sisly all read your body through the day and night, and none of them has a screen. What separates them is what you wear, how you pay, and what each one is built to tell you.

The table carries the UAE prices we checked, what you pay after you buy, battery, where your readings are kept and app languages. Every figure in it lives in one data file with the date it was checked.

Some differences sit outside the table:

| | Oura Ring 5 | Whoop 5.0 and MG | Sisly |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you wear | Titanium ring | Wrist band, no screen | Titanium ring or band |
| How you pay | Ring, then a monthly or yearly membership | Yearly membership, band included | Once, AED 999 |
| Tiers | One membership | One, Peak and Life | None |
| Charge (maker's figure) | Typically 6 to 9 days | 14 days or more | About 7 days |
| Built around | Sleep and daily readiness | Training strain and recovery | Sleep, energy and stress against your own normal |
| Where readings are kept | See the provider's privacy policy | See the provider's privacy policy | Hosted in the UAE |

## What is the difference between Oura and Whoop?

The first difference is on your body. Oura is a ring. Whoop is a band with no screen, worn on the wrist. A ring is small enough to forget; a band sits where a watch would, which matters if you already wear one.

The second difference is how you pay. Oura sells the ring, then offers a membership for most of its readings. Whoop turns this round: you buy a yearly membership, and the band comes with it. Amazon.ae and noon, two major UAE retailers, sell Whoop as 12-month memberships with the band included.

The third difference is focus. Whoop is built around training: how hard your day was on your body, and how ready you are for the next one. Oura is built around sleep and a daily readiness score. Both read heart rate variability through the night.

## What does each one do best?

### Oura Ring

Oura has sold several generations of its ring, from Gen3 to Oura Ring 4 and now Oura Ring 5, announced on 28 May 2026. The app is mature and detailed once you are a member.

Oura Ring 5 is titanium inside and out, with two tri-LEDs, two photodetectors, a digital temperature sensor and an accelerometer, according to Oura. With a membership it offers sleep analysis, heart rate through the day, temperature trends, blood oxygen, stress, cardiovascular metrics and women's health insights. The Oura app is available in 21 languages, including Arabic.

### Whoop

Whoop is made for people who train. It reads strain, recovery and sleep, and it runs for 14 days or more per charge on Whoop 5.0 and Whoop MG, according to Whoop's launch press release of 8 May 2025. Whoop says its Wireless PowerPack stretches that to a full month.

Whoop has three tiers. One is the entry tier. Peak adds more health and longevity insights. Life comes with the Whoop MG band and adds an ECG feature that Whoop says is cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration, and Blood Pressure Insights, which Whoop states is not a medical device and cannot diagnose or manage medical conditions.

### Sisly

Sisly is a titanium ring or band. It reads sleep, energy, stress, heart rate variability, activity and skin temperature, each against your own normal. The price is AED 999, paid once, with no membership. Your readings are hosted in the UAE, and the app is in Arabic and English.

Heart rate variability, or HRV, is "the fluctuation in the time intervals between adjacent heartbeats", as a 2017 review in Frontiers in Public Health puts it. Sisly reads your HRV against your own normal rather than an average of strangers.

Sisly is available to pre-book, in three finishes named after oases: Ain in silver, Hasa in black and Liwa in gold. Sisly is not a medical device, and it does not offer ECG, blood pressure or blood oxygen readings.

## How much do Oura, Whoop and Sisly cost over three years?

Each one costs a different shape of money, so three years is the fairest window. These sums use the prices in the table above.

**Oura Ring:**

1. The ring, at the UAE list price for your finish.
2. The first month of membership, included.
3. Then a membership for the rest of the three years, monthly or yearly.

At the yearly rate, three years of Oura membership add roughly half the base ring's list price again. The total is more than twice Sisly's price.

**Whoop:**

1. No separate device price; the band comes with the membership.
2. A yearly membership, three times, at the tier you choose.

Three years at the entry tier, One, come to more than twice Sisly's price. Peak and Life cost more each year.

**Sisly:**

1. The ring or band, AED 999.
2. Nothing else. The three-year cost is AED 999.

If you want to see these sums for every ring on sale here, the [smart ring prices in the UAE](https://www.sisly.ai/en/blog/smart-ring-prices-uae/) page keeps them current. ## Is a smart ring or a Whoop band easier to live with in the Gulf?

This is a personal question, and there is no single answer. A few things are worth weighing.

A ring is small and easy to forget on your finger. A band takes the wrist where a watch would go, so it suits people who do not already wear one. Sisly comes as either, so you can choose.

Heat matters here too. Oura lists an operating range of minus 10 to 54 degrees Celsius for Oura Ring 5. For any device, somewhere indoors is a safer place to leave it on a July afternoon than a parked car.

Charging matters more than it seems. Whoop's longer battery means fewer charges. Oura and Sisly come off to charge roughly once a week, which is easiest while you get ready in the morning.

## What does each one read?

All three read your body through the night and the day. They differ in what they report and in what needs a membership. This list uses each maker's own description.

| Reading | Oura Ring 5 | Whoop | Sisly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sleep | Yes, detail with membership | Yes | Yes |
| Heart rate variability | Yes, with membership | Yes | Yes |
| Stress | Yes, with membership | Yes (Peak lists a stress monitor) | Yes |
| Skin temperature | Yes, temperature trends | See the provider | Yes |
| Activity | Yes | Yes, as strain | Yes |
| Blood oxygen | Yes, with membership | See the provider | No |
| ECG | No | Life tier | No |
| Blood pressure estimates | See the provider | Life tier, not a medical device | No |

A longer list is not the same as a better fit. If you mostly want to know how you slept and how your body is carrying the week, all three cover that. If ECG or blood pressure estimates matter to you, Whoop Life lists both, and a doctor remains the right person for any reading that worries you.

## What should you check before you buy in the UAE?

A few practical checks save a return later.

1. **Size.** Oura Ring 5 comes in sizes 6 to 13, and Oura notes that its sizing differs from Oura Ring 4, so use the matching sizing kit. Whoop is a band, so size matters less.
2. **Phone.** Oura supports iOS 16 or later and Android 11 or later. Check Whoop's and Sisly's current requirements for your phone.
3. **Where you buy.** Oura sells through its own site and UAE retailers. Whoop sells 12-month memberships through retailers including Amazon.ae, noon and Virgin Megastore. Sisly is available to pre-book on this site.
4. **What happens after year one.** For Oura and Whoop, note the renewal price and date before you pay. For Sisly there is no renewal.

## Where is your data kept?

For Oura and for Whoop, see the provider's privacy policy; each company sets out there how and where it handles member data.

Sisly readings are hosted in the UAE. If who sees your readings matters to you, our piece on [why nobody should see your team's health data](https://www.sisly.ai/en/blog/why-nobody-should-see-your-teams-health-data/) explains how we think about it.

## Oura, Whoop or Sisly: which one suits you?

**Choose Oura Ring if:**

- you want an established ring with years of software behind it;
- you want the wider set of readings a membership opens, including blood oxygen;
- you are happy to pay a membership monthly or yearly for as long as you wear it.

**Choose Whoop if:**

- you train hard and want strain and recovery at the centre of your day;
- you want the longest battery of the three, by the makers' figures;
- you want features such as ECG on the Life tier, and a yearly membership suits you.

**Choose Sisly if:**

- you want to pay once, AED 999, and never renew;
- you want your readings hosted in the UAE;
- you want an app in Arabic and English;
- you want the choice of a ring or a band.

## FAQ

**Is Oura or Whoop better for sleep tracking?**

Both track sleep every night, and neither is a medical sleep test. Oura is a ring worn on the finger. Whoop is a wrist band with no screen and a longer battery, by the makers' figures. The fairer question is which one you will keep wearing at night, and which way of paying suits you over several years.

**How much does Whoop cost in the UAE?**

Whoop sells yearly memberships in three tiers, One, Peak and Life, and the band comes with the membership. When Whoop launched these tiers in May 2025, its press release listed prices in dirhams and riyals. The table in this article shows the entry price we checked, and major UAE retailers such as Amazon.ae and noon sell 12-month memberships.

**Do I need a subscription for Oura?**

For most readings, yes. Oura says that without a membership the app shows your three daily scores for Readiness, Activity and Sleep, plus battery, profile, settings and the Explore content. Detailed sleep, heart rate, stress and health reports need a membership. A new ring includes one month. In the UAE the membership is sold monthly or yearly.

**What happens if I stop paying for Whoop?**

Whoop is sold as a membership, so the band and the insights come together for the length of the membership you buy. Check Whoop's own terms for what happens when a membership ends before you buy. Sisly works the other way round: you pay AED 999 once, and there is nothing to renew or cancel later.

**Which has the longest battery, Oura, Whoop or Sisly?**

By the makers' own figures, Whoop is longest at 14 days or more per charge for Whoop 5.0 and Whoop MG. Oura says Oura Ring 5 typically lasts 6 to 9 days, depending on size, settings and use. Sisly lists about 7 days between charges. All three are charged off the body, so plan charging for a time you are awake.

**Are Oura and Whoop available in Arabic?**

Oura's support page lists Arabic among 21 app languages. For Whoop, check the app store listing or Whoop's support pages for the current language list before you buy. The Sisly app is in Arabic and English. If reading your data in Arabic matters to you, confirm it for any device before you commit to a year of membership.

**Can Whoop measure blood pressure?**

Whoop Life includes a feature Whoop calls Blood Pressure Insights, which gives estimated readings. Whoop's launch press release states that it is not a medical device and cannot diagnose or manage medical conditions. The same release describes an ECG feature cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration. Sisly offers neither, and is not a medical device.
