Fitbit in the UAE vs Sisly: availability, subscription and what you get
We make Sisly, so we have kept this comparison to facts you can check. Sisly is available to pre-book; final details are confirmed at launch.
Quick answer
Buying a Fitbit in the UAE means checking two things first. Google told Khaleej Times in May 2026 that Fitbit Air is not officially sold in the UAE, and Google Health Premium is not listed for the UAE. Sisly is a titanium ring or band at AED 999, paid once, with readings hosted in the UAE.
Key takeaways
- Fitbit's software is now the Google Health app, and its newest tracker, Fitbit Air, is a screenless band launched in May 2026.
- Google said in May 2026 that Fitbit Air is not officially available in the UAE, though some UAE retailers list it.
- Google Health Premium, the paid tier, was not listed for the UAE or Saudi Arabia when we checked.
- Sisly is a titanium ring or band at AED 999, paid once, with no subscription, readings hosted in the UAE and an app in Arabic and English.
How do Fitbit and Sisly compare at a glance?
The table sets Fitbit and Sisly side by side: form, price, what you pay after you buy, battery, screen, where readings are kept and app languages. Prices and terms come from public listings and makers’ sites, with the month we checked them.
| Product | Form | Price | After purchase | Battery | Screen | Where your data is kept | App languages |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fitbit (Google) Fitbit | Band or watch | Varies by model | Base features free; Google Health Premium not offered in the UAE or KSA | Up to about 7 days (Fitbit Air, maker’s figure) | Some models | See provider’s privacy policy | — |
| Sisly Oasis | Ring or band | AED 999 | None, paid once | About 7 days | None | Hosted in the UAE | Arabic and English |
Fitbit’s price varies by model, and its optional paid tier is priced in US dollars because Google does not list it for the UAE. The sections below explain what that means if you live here.
Can you buy a Fitbit in the UAE?
You can find Fitbit trackers in UAE shops and online marketplaces. Whether they are officially sold here is a different question.
In May 2026, a Google spokesperson told Khaleej Times that Fitbit Air, Google’s newest tracker, is currently unavailable in the UAE, and that people can buy it from Google’s international website. Some UAE retailers list Fitbit Air anyway, along with older models such as Fitbit Charge 6.
Buying a device that is not officially sold in a country can mean a warranty handled abroad and returns handled by the shop rather than the maker. Check both before you pay.
What changed at Fitbit in 2026?
On 7 May 2026, Google announced two changes.
- The Fitbit app became the Google Health app. Existing Fitbit users were moved across automatically.
- Fitbit Premium became Google Health Premium, a paid tier with coaching and deeper insights.
Google also launched Fitbit Air, a screenless band. The Fitbit name now sits on the hardware; the software is Google Health.
What is the new Fitbit band?
Fitbit Air is a light, screenless band made to be worn all day and night. Google lists 24-hour heart rate, heart rhythm monitoring with AFib alerts, blood oxygen (SpO2), resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep stages and duration.
Google gives up to a week of battery life, with five minutes of charging for a full day. Fitbit Air works with most phones running Android 11 or later and iOS 16.4 or later, and it needs the Google Health app and a Google Account. Google says Fitbit Air is not intended for medical purposes.
Every Fitbit Air comes with a three-month trial of Google Health Premium. That matters less in the UAE, for the reason below.
Does the paid Google tier work in the UAE?
Google keeps a list of the countries where Google Health Premium is available. On the day we checked, 29 September 2026, the UAE and Saudi Arabia were not on it.
For someone in the UAE, that means a Fitbit gives you the base features of the Google Health app, and the paid coaching and insights may not be open to you at all. Check the list again before you buy, because it can change.
What is Sisly?
Sisly is a titanium smart ring or band from the UAE. It is AED 999, paid once, with no subscription and no premium tier.
Sisly reads sleep, energy, stress, heart rate variability, activity and skin temperature, each against your own normal. Heart rate variability, or HRV, is the variation in time between one heartbeat and the next; a 2017 review in Frontiers in Public Health describes it as a window on how the nervous system regulates the heart.
Sisly lasts about 7 days between charges. Readings are hosted in the UAE, the app is in Arabic and English, and Sisly works with iPhone and Android. It is available to pre-book.
What does each read, side by side?
The table lists the readings each company names for Fitbit Air and Sisly. It is a list of what each measures, not a test of how well.
| Fitbit Air | Sisly | |
|---|---|---|
| Form | Screenless band | Titanium ring or band |
| Sleep | Sleep stages and duration | Sleep |
| Heart rate variability | Yes | Yes |
| Blood oxygen (SpO2) | Yes | Not listed |
| Heart rhythm alerts | Yes | No |
| Stress and energy | See Google Health | Yes, against your own normal |
| Phone | Android 11+, iOS 16.4+ | iPhone and Android |
| Battery (maker’s figure) | Up to a week | About 7 days |
Two points sit behind the table. Fitbit Air lists more heart signals, including resting heart rate, blood oxygen and rhythm alerts. Sisly reads each of its six signals against your own normal, so the app tells you how today compares with your usual.
What does each do best?
Fitbit does its best work for someone already using Google services who wants a light band, possibly with a screen on models such as Charge 6. Fitbit Air reads a wide set of signals, including blood oxygen and heart rhythm, and works with both iPhone and Android.
Sisly does its best work for someone who wants everything included in one payment, from a brand based in the UAE, with readings kept in the UAE and an app in Arabic. It also comes as a ring as well as a band.
Band or ring: which shape suits you?
A band sits on the wrist. You can wear it with a watch on the other arm, or instead of one. Some people find a band easy to forget; others notice it in bed.
A ring sits on a finger. It is smaller, and it looks like jewellery rather than a tracker. Sisly comes in sizes 7 to 14 and in three finishes: Ain, Hasa and Liwa.
If you already know you like a band, Sisly comes as a band too. The choice between Fitbit and Sisly then comes down to price model, availability and where your data goes.
What does each cost over three years?
- Take the device price from a UAE retailer on the day you buy. Fitbit prices vary by model and shop.
- Add any subscription. Sisly needs none. Google Health Premium was not listed for the UAE when we checked, so there may be nothing to add, and nothing to buy even if you wanted it.
- Divide by 36 for a monthly figure.
For Sisly, the three-year cost is AED 999, with nothing after.

Which one suits you?
Choose Fitbit if you live in the Google world, you want a light band with a wide set of readings, and you are comfortable buying a device that Google does not officially sell in the UAE, with the warranty that comes with it.
Choose Sisly if you want to pay once with nothing after, you want a ring or a band from a UAE brand, or you want your readings kept in the UAE and an app in Arabic.

Questions, answered
- Is Fitbit officially sold in the UAE?
- It depends on the model. In May 2026 a Google spokesperson told Khaleej Times that Fitbit Air is currently unavailable in the UAE and pointed buyers to Google's international website. Some UAE retailers list Fitbit Air and older Fitbit trackers anyway, so check who provides the warranty and returns before you buy.
- Can I get Google Health Premium in the UAE?
- Not on the day we checked. Google's help page lists the countries where Google Health Premium is available, and neither the UAE nor Saudi Arabia was on the list. The Google Health app and a Fitbit's base features do not need Premium. Sisly has no premium tier at all: you pay AED 999 once.
- What happened to the Fitbit app?
- On 7 May 2026, Google announced that the Fitbit app would become the Google Health app, with existing Fitbit users moved across automatically. Fitbit Premium became Google Health Premium. The Fitbit name stays on the hardware, such as Fitbit Air, while the software carries the Google Health name.
- How long does Fitbit Air last between charges?
- Google gives up to a week of battery life for Fitbit Air, and says five minutes of charging gives a full day. Sisly lasts about 7 days between charges. Real battery life depends on which features you use, so treat both as makers' figures rather than promises.
- Does Fitbit Air work with an iPhone?
- Yes. Google says Fitbit Air works with most phones running Android 11 or later and iOS 16.4 or later, with the Google Health app and a Google Account. Sisly also works with iPhone and Android, through the Sisly app in Arabic and English.
- Is a Fitbit or a smart ring better for sleep?
- Both a screenless band and a ring can be worn to bed and last about a week, so both can read your sleep night after night. The choice is mostly about what you like on your body at night: a band on the wrist, or a ring on a finger. Sisly comes as either a ring or a band.
