Each guide groups ideas by the person and by budget, and says why an idea suits someone, not only what it is. Some ideas are things to hold. Some are time together, or a quiet evening booked in advance. The guides are written for families in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, with local customs in mind: when gifts are given, who gives them, and what tends to be welcome between parents, children, in-laws and colleagues. A gift for a grandmother reads differently from one for a manager, and the guides treat them differently. Where a price is mentioned, it comes from the brand or a major retailer in the UAE or Saudi Arabia, with the date it was checked. Where we cannot confirm a price, we say so and send you to the brand's own site. Sisly appears as one option among several, because a ring is a personal gift and does not suit everyone.
