Our story is where Sisly explains itself. Sisly is a wearable brand from the UAE. It makes a titanium smart ring, the Oasis, and a smart band, both paid for once with no subscription. The ring's three finishes are named after oases of the region: Ain, Hasa and Liwa. These articles are about the ideas behind those choices. Some look at places and old knowledge, such as the falaj, the channel that carried water to farms and villages across the region, and what it teaches about patience and time. Some explain why readings are hosted in the UAE, why the app is in Arabic and English, and why Sisly compares you only with your own weeks, never with other people. Others describe what the ring reads, which is sleep, energy, stress, heart rate variability, activity and skin temperature, and what it chooses not to do. There are no grades and no coaching, because a ring worn every night ought to be calm company. The writing here is prose rather than advice, and it is lighter on numbers than the rest of the blog.
